Our technical stack
We use Next.js for the front end. On the backend, we are on the move of incorporating GraphQL and Prisma to enable Next.js even further. A big part of the backend is written in Golang and Java at the moment.
The application is split into multiple microservices, deploy onto a Docker Swarm infrastructure and we are using MongoDB
On the testing side, we use
Unit test
Integration test and Component test where applicable
End-to-end test using Cypress and Playwright
Responsibilities
Be the quality gate of a multiple year product
Work closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Technical Lead to improve product quality.
Help build Test Plan
Analyze and help the Product team with writing testing notes prior to handing them over to the Development.
Test, log bugs, track bugs, and prioritize bug fixing with the Product Team
Prepare testing data.
Support developers in fixing bugs
Skill and Experience
Independent and self-motivated. You'll work with a team of around 10 people and come to a few outsourcing teams. You'll take initiative in many parts of the process to work with the cross-functional team.
Automation Engineer must have a skill set in HTML, DOM, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Playwright at a basic level or above.
Have a strong sense of Quality Assurance. The product, the project, and the process are not typical. We expect you to work with us to build up a sensible Test Plan which comprehends all crucial areas that all team members need to be equipped
Have a strong sense of Quality Control. QC is an obvious part followed by QA. We expect you to work with us to build up sensible Test Cases
Have good analytical skills, you know what and where to put your focus. We have a pretty complicated product with a lot of compliances, the candidate should be able to tell us what matters and what less
Have solid and soft skills, open-mindedness, and a can-but-not-blindly-do attitude. You have a "can-do" attitude, which is already very cool, but you also must be able to pause and ask, "Should we do it?"
Have worked in a Product Development environment, where you'll have to make a lot of decisions
Have experience in the Agile/Scrum team
Fast learner, willing to share, willing to learn, as we have a lot of ownership in the tool, and the method we use, we are happy to adopt new things where they make sense, and we hope you enjoy doing that as well
Understand the value of utilizing tests to manage delivery quality, but with balance; Because we sure can cover everything, just a matter of "time"
We have few foreigners on the team, so we expect you are comfortable with communicating in English
A plus if you have Healthcare domain knowledge
Requirements
Comfortable working in a Product Development environment where things are unclear, being changed, and a lot of questions
Good English speaking and writing skills
Either very strong at automation testing
At least 2 years of professional experience in a medium size project
Interview process
In the first round, we’ll communicate with Team Leader and Sub Lead Team to understand more about your Technical skills. In this round, you'll be given a screening test (may take around 30 minutes or longer around 2-3 hours, up to your levels). Please give us a submission timeline once you fully understand the requirement. After the submission, we'll give you the feedback within a working day
After that, there'll be Peer to Peer interview where you'll have a chance to know more about your teammates (Product Manager, Designer, and other developers).
The ultimate feedback will be given within 3 working days.
